Goré newly released professional CD entitled Liberté (“Freedom”), is a compilation of different styles and rhythms paying homage to the artist’s multicultural upbringing and linguistic diversity. Released as an independent label production, this CD hopes to promote African music as well as give a voice to those who are fighting each day for freedom in his home country.

This CD honors the unique meaning of the artist’s name – Goré meaning “shaped or crafted” in his native language. It also embodies the cry for attention to the hard-working, strong spirited Chadian people while giving a voice to activist causes that are silenced within the country itself. The spirit and variety of music on this CD is extraordinary, complimenting the need to draw attention to the plight of diverse African nations. Goré’s music appeals to a wide array of tastes, even to those who do not necessarily speak the African dialects or French in which he sings.

The CD begins with the title track Liberté which talks about a painful past, slavery, and the desire for freedom. It also features Droits de l’Homme, a light zook which calls upon African presidents to honor basic human rights and In My Father’s Country, a touching ballad which easily relates to the plight of any political refugee. Finally, the CD ends with a message of hope embodied in the song We Are One, which reminds all Africans that they share a common story and heritage.
The CD is sure to please the ears of most international music lovers.
