What motivates me?

My past, things that I went through - the people that I grew up with, a country that I miss, people's lives that I know and I saw in different stages that really pushed me towards trying to make it better for them. My motivation is really daily life, where I grew up, the things I knew and what I went through. I do not need to go far to write a song; All I need to do is to shut my eyes and  find my inspiration right there.
How did I become interested in the projects I am doing now?
I became interested because I was around people doing similar things; it is an accumulation of a lot of factors. It did not happen in one day. A lot of frustration I built up not being able to share that desire. Using the music industry to be able to support - to reach and touch people's lives.

Who do I want to reach with my music?

I don't write my music with the intent to share it exclusively with Africans. My voice is being used to sing for them. I'm using my passion, the power of my music to transmit a message, open the world's eyes to the beauty of Africa as well as the struggles going on there. There is a problem that needs to be addressed. Hopefully someone will hear my message and will be inspired to learn more about the pandemic challenges that face people of the continent.

When did I decided to go for a career in music business?

I've always been around music, but as a professional just recently. The last three years were a true turning point for me. I finally got to the point that I realized for years privately people loved what I was writing and the music I produced. Although I was always around it, there were other factors. This is my passion - I wanted to take it to the mainstream and truly use it. I wanted to bring the focus somehow back to Africa. I belong to that place. I felt few years ago like a stranger and I wanted to come closer to my reality and share that reality with the world.

My words of wisdom and advice for those just getting their start?

No matter what , always keep your dream alive. Never stop believing that you can make it - be realistic and have a plan. Things may not work out today, but if you are persistent and determined, things will come along. It's not easy - especially when the circle of artists is so small. It's hard when you realize that you are just another stranger who doesn't have; the network to distribute your product. Keep the dream alive, and work hard. You need to know your materials, be on top of your materials, and believe in them. Believe in yourself and believe you can make a difference. Your success will start the day you realize that. It could be today, it could be tomorrow. Try to learn about the resources / technology. Be original - don’t blindly people’s style. Just be yourself. Be whom you want to represent. That is how you will be. Not by copying blindly, but by using and developing.

What does the future hold for MC Gore?

I'm currently working on promoting and distributing my new production, LBERTE.
This summer, I hope to start touring in the USA, Canada, France and Africa. I confident that with the help of my fans and the public, people will be able to discover Gore, and perhaps catch a gleam at the noble motivation behind his music and fight.
